Koo is an Indian micro-blogging and social networking service to share personal updates and opinion. Koo has been declared an AatmaNirbhar App and won the AatmaNirbhar App Innovation Challenge held by the Government of India in August 2020.
Koo, an alternative to Twitter, has launched a new 'Talk To Type' feature for users. Users will now be able to speak the message instead of typing it. The special thing is that this feature supports all the regional languages of the country. That is, now typing on the smartphone will not be required for the post. By launching this feature, Koo has become the first app where regional languages can be spoken and typed.
At the launch of the feature, its co-founder, Aprameya Radhakrishna said that the 'Talk to Type' feature is like a magic. Now users will be able to type without the help of keyboard. Users will be able to speak and share their thoughts on this social platform. This feature will be very useful for those users who have problems in writing regional languages.
On the other hand Koo's founder, Mayank Bidawatka, said that we are very happy to launch the 'Talk to Type' feature. We want to make things easy for users on our social platform. You will not find such a feature on Twitter, Facebook or any other social platform.
App supports 7 languages
This app currently supports Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali and Marathi languages. By the end of this year, there will be a total of 25 languages on the app. You can message on it in 140 words. Users also get the option of voice and video messages.
