Apple always cares about the security of its users and so releases update for its software and fixes bug time to time. And now the tech giant Apple started rolling out iOS 14.4.2, iPad OS 14.4.2 And Watch OS 7.3.3 updates that users should install as soon as possible.
The company said, " This update provides important security updates and is recommended for all users." The update is reported to be in response to the discovery of a flaw that would allow hackers to insert malicious code onto affected devices, granting them access to users private data, details like name, email address and many more.
"Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to universal cross site scripting. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited," says Apple about the impact of vulnerability.
"For the protection of our customers, Apple doesn't disclose, discuss, or confirm security issues until an investigation has occurred and patches or releases are generally available", says the company on its security updates page.
Update available for the following Apple devices
The iOS 14.4.2 update applies to iPhone 6s and later. The iPadOS 14.2.2 is for iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation).
The iOS and iPadOS 12.5.2 patch is applicable for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, and iPod touch (6th generation).
The watchOS 7.3.3 fixes the security issue for Apple Watch Series 3 and later.
How to install updates
