In response to this ongoing public health emergency, Johns Hopkins University JHU developed an online dashboard to visualize and track the reported cases on a daily timescale, the complete set of data is downloadable as a google sheet. The case data visualized is collected from various sources, including WHO, U.S. CDC, ECDC China CDC (CCDC), NHC and DXY.
The dashboard is intended to provide the public with an understanding of the outbreak situation as it unfolds, with transparent data sources.

The Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) is a research collective housed within the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering (CaSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Our faculty, researchers, and students work on a range of complex and interdisciplinary problems, united by the goal to better understand and improve societal, health, and technological systems for everyone, said Lauren Gardner.
Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said on a conference call Monday that the public risk in the US right now is still considered low.
"We understand that many people in the United States are worried about this virus and how it will affect Americans," Messonnier said. "Every day we learn more, every day we assess to see if our guidance or our response can be improved."
