Gionee Set To Launch Its New S9 And S9T On November 15
Newly two Gionee smartphones – S9 and S9T were spotted on Chinese certification website Tenna, and the company has officially declared that the S9 is coming on November 15. The invite was shared by AndroidPure via the company’s official Weibo account. The most attractive feature on these devices is probable to be the presence of dual camera setup on the rear and comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Though most of the features on Gionee S9 and S9T have already been leaked, the camera panel seems to be the focus of attention for these smartphones. Leaked images of the Gionee S9 recommend that the camera panel at the back of the smartphone will be vertical in shape and will be placed right in the middle. Both smartphones have 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors at the back. At the front, the smartphones will feature a 13-megapixel camera for taking selfies.
A couple of images were also shown in the TENAA listing. The phone has the same old iPhone 6 lookalike antenna bands placed on the back of the phone. Dual Camera set up is placed vertically in the upper middle portion of the phone.
There is small difference between Gionee S9 and S9T. Gionee S9T will run on a tad faster processor clocked at 2GHz. It is revealed to be on a little heavier side matched to the S9. Both the devices are going to get usual three color options – Gold, Black, and Silver. Information about pricing and accessibility will be clear at the time of official launch.
As per Tenna, the S9T comes with an octa-core 2.0GHz processor while the S9 is powered by an octa-core 1.8GHz processor. Most other specifications of the two phones remain the same, with both featuring dual rear cameras and a 5.5-inch FHD displays. Both devices feature 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The smartphone is rumored to come with a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options are likely to include GPS, 4G LTE, USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
One more difference between the S9 and the S9T is their weight. The S9 reportedly weighs 166 gms, much lighter compared to the S9T’s 200 gms weight.
