Xolo Era 1X Works With the Reliance Jio Network, Launched at Rs. 4,999
After introducing the Xolo Era X in February, the company has expanded its Era series and introduced the successor Era 1X in India. Xolo has launched its new 4G VoLTE smartphone under its Era series, which is named as Xolo Era 1X. The smartphone is priced at Rs 4,999 and will be offered exclusively through Flipkart from September 15. Interested customers can register on Xolo's official website and they will stand a chance to win a Xolo Era 1Xsmartphone. The Era 1X comes in gunmetal, black, gold and brown color options.
The Xolo Era 1X comes with VoLTE support, that means it will work with the Reliance Jio network. It also has a dual-LED front flash, a rare sight at this price.
The Xola Era 1X has a 5-inch HD IPS display with 294ppi pixel density and is run by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. There is also 8GB onboard memory, which can be extended up to 32GB using a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0. The Era 1X gets its power from a 2500 mAh removable Li-Po battery, which claims to offer up to 22 hours of talk time and up to 185 hours of standby time.
The Era 1X has an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with 5P Largan Lens and LED Flash. A 5-megapixel camera with Dual LED Flash is in its front for video calling and selfies. It has many camera features that include Beauty Mode, Live Photos, Burst Mode, Time- Lapse, Audio Note, and Slo-Motion. Also, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi Hotspot, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, a micro USB port, Proximity, Smart Screenshot, Ambient Light Sensor, Assistant, Smart Awake, Cast screen, LED flash for call and Flip to mute alarms and calls. The handset measures 145.5*72*8.6 mm.
Talking about competition, the Xolo Era 1X will face competition from the likes of the Reliance Digital LYF Wind 5, which is estimated a tad higher at Rs 5,599. At this price, we get a device with 5-inch HD display, 1GB RAM, MediaTek 1.0GHz quad-core processor, 8GB expandable storage, and 2,000mAh battery. There is also an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
If we don't have a 4G VoLTE phone and are trying to get one to enjoy Reliance Jio's free offers than we can consider this phone. Note that all 4G VoLTE phones are now suitable for Reliance Jio's offer after its launch on September 5. In fact, a few days back while declaring its partnership with Jio, Xolo had declared that all its upcoming 4G phones will be appropriate for Jio Preview offer. But note the Xolo Era 1X is not the low-priced 4G VoLTE phone, LYF is currently proposing 4G phones for as low as Rs 2,999.
