Xiaomi Mi 5s With Snapdragon 821, 6GB Of RAM Spotted
Xiaomi Mi 5s is a new version of the company’s flagship that could come with the new Snapdragon 821 processor and 6GB RAM. Interestingly the new disclosures come even as an ‘Extreme’ version of the Mi 5 has been spotted selling online in China with an overclocked CPU, GPU, and RAM. However, Xiaomi has not yet formally launch this so-called ‘Extreme’ version of the Mi 5.
The most noticeable upgrade is the integration of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. The Mi 5 has a Snapdragon 820 CPU at its heart. The new alternate will be backed by 6GB of RAM and is tipped to pack a huge 256GB internal storage.
The smartphone has a 5.5-inch full HD display and will have the iPhone like 3D touch feature. It will give dual SIM functionalities and will support 3G, 4G, GPRS/ EDGE and VoLTE apart from NFC connectivity option.
The Mi 5s is seen packing a USB Type-C. On the front camera, the handset is seen packing a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 4-megapixel front camera. The Xiaomi Mi 5s is also likely to support 4K video recording. The handset is said to measure 144.5×69.2×7.2mm and weigh 147 grams that mean it will be heavyweight than the original Mi 5 that weighed just 129 grams.The Mi 5s will be juiced by a huge 3490mAh battery.
Xiaomi has been introducing many options in the Redmi series both in India and China; India got the more budget friendly Redmi 3S recently, the Redmi Pro in China comes with a dual-camera set-up. For Xiaomi, the Redmi series has developed as a winner, and the company is now number three in India’s top 30 cities, as per the IDC data. But flagships like Mi 5 have not enjoyed the prosperous success of the more budget Redmi series.
