Apple Inc and HTC corp. has announced on 10 Nov for settlement global patent dispute and 10 years joint licensing agreement for all current and future patents. HTC 2010 sued by Apple, which accusing the Taiwanese handset company of infringing on iPhone makers patented technology. Apple chief executive Tim cook said he was glad to reach a settlement. We will continue to stay laser focused on product innovation. Whereas HTC chief executive Peter Chou said that his company was pleased to resolve the dispute so it could focus on innovation instead of litigation.

HTC and Apple Settle Patent Dispute
All Patent Litigation Between the Companies Dismissed
TAIPEI, Taiwan and CUPERTINO, California—November 10, 2012—HTC and Apple® have reached a global settlement that includes the dismissal of all current lawsuits and a ten-year license agreement. The license extends to current and future patents held by both parties. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
“HTC is pleased to have resolved its dispute with Apple, so HTC can focus on innovation instead of litigation,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC.
“We are glad to have reached a settlement with HTC,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple. “We will continue to stay laser focused on product innovation.”
In August 2012 Apple Won $1.05 billion In Patent Case Against Samsung. As recent Apple launched iPad mini and HTC launched windows phone 8x.
