Nokia chairman Jorma Ollila told to Financial Times, the Finnish company would launch a range of Tablets and "hybrid" smart mobile devices as future product, But he did not said about exact time for launching Tablets and hybrid smartphones. He told getting a tablet out to the market will be an important step for the company, one he believes will make a "big difference" to the flailing firm.
Ollila, who will step down at the meeting after 27 years with the company, told the Financial Times that Nokia had been too slow at the start of the smartphone revolution, but said the combination of new products and Nokia services would help.
Ollila was chief executive officer from 1992 through mid-2006. Ollila given 27 years for Nokia. During that period, Nokia became the world’s largest handset maker in 1998 as rivals like Ericsson AB stumbled. It was Europe’s biggest company in 1999 by market value.
Nokia is widely expected to unveil its first tablet computer later this year when Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system becomes available.
As current Nokia is suffer from some problems due to growth of Android platform and better performance of Samsung and Apple. Now lets see that how nokia will get success from this plan.
