What is MGSE?
"MGSE" (Mint Gnome Shell Extensions) is a dektop layer on top of Gnome 3 that make ir possible for you to use Gnome 3 in a ttaditional way. you can disable all components within MGSE to get a pure Gnome 3 Exp.
MGSE main Features:
* Bottom panel
* Application menu
* Window List
* We can switch between windows but not applications its a Task Centric Desktop.
* Visible system tray icons.
Gnome 2 features are layered over Gnome 3 using a number of extension. These extensions can optionally be turned off to give a plain vanilla Gnome 3 Experience.
Individual functionalitites can be turned off to give an expreince that lies between Gnome 2 and 3.
Linux Mint 12 also features the DuckDuckGo engine by default, instead of Google or Bing.
